What data we collect

ApplyAI collects the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

• CV text: When you upload a CV to the Chrome extension, it is parsed and stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. Your CV is never sent to our servers until you click "Generate."
• Job description text: When you click Generate, the job description text from the current page (or pasted by you) is sent to our API along with your CV text.
• Generated content: The cover letters and CV suggestions generated for you are returned to your browser and not stored on our servers.

How we process your data

When you click "Generate," your CV text and the job description are sent to our API proxy (hosted on Cloudflare Workers). This proxy forwards the data to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your cover letter or CV suggestions. The data is processed in real-time and is not stored, logged, or retained by our systems.

Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. Per Anthropic's API terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their models.

What we don't do

• We do not store your CV, job descriptions, or generated content on our servers.
• We do not create user accounts or profiles.
• We do not track your browsing activity.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use cookies for tracking (only essential cookies for payment processing if you subscribe).

Payment data

If you subscribe to ApplyAI Premium, payments are handled by Stripe via ExtensionPay. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.

Data storage location

• Your CV: Stored locally in your Chrome browser only.
• API proxy: Cloudflare Workers (global edge network, no persistent storage).
• AI processing: Anthropic (US-based).

Your rights

Since we don't store your personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete, export, or modify. Your CV data can be removed at any time by clicking "Remove" in the extension's Settings, or by uninstalling the extension.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
